8:00 AM EDT
It's our final paddle trip of the year, and we're capping 2019 off with a morning-time exploration of the Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge. Paddle your way through centuries of history that date back to the year 1500 and witness one of the most diverse and active wintering habitats for many species of wildlife.
We'll be meeting at BarBour Island River Landing at 8:00 a.m. to catch the tide right and paddling in the tidal marshes and streams throughout the refuge. We estimate this trip to be approximately four to five hours but the route will be variable depending on the crowd, water level, and currents.
This trip will provide a wonderful, social way to wrap up the 2019 paddling season. Make the trip as long or as short as you want by skipping one of the legs, or sticking around after we wrap up.
Kayaks are recommended over canoes for this trip.
As always: paddle trips are subject to change due to inclement weather, water levels, and dangerous conditions. We will provide updates as the trip gets closer.
