Sponsor the work of ORK

Ogeechee Riverkeeper offers annual corporate sponsorships with multiple levels of giving. Your sponsorship comes with multiple perks (including tickets to special events), supports us in our ongoing efforts, and helps us reach more people in our watershed — and your benefits are for an entire year.

Depending on level of support, your organization will have a colorful banner displayed at official events and your company will be thanked via Ogeechee Riverkeeper’s active social media platforms and popular e-newsletters.

Sponsor before September 15 to make sure your banner will be up at ORK's Oyster Roast!

Oyster Roast

Ogeechee Riverkeeper’s annual oyster roast is back November 3! We’ll have all-you-can-eat freshly steamed oysters, plus delicious barbecue and sides from Barnes, a special brew from Moon River and tunes from DJ Phivestar! Most importantly, it supports the crucial work of ORK. *Tickets on sale August 1 for members; August 10 for non-members!*

Members Only: Happy Hour with NWS

Join Blair Holloway, Lead Meteorologist at National Weather Service (NWS), for happy hour. He will lead an informal presentation and chat about weather and its effects on our environment while we enjoy drinks and food from Driftaway Cafe. This is a members-only event. Become an ORK member now.

Dispatch from Australia

ORK's research fellow Molly McKeon attended the Society for Freshwater Sciences conference in Brisbane, Australia. She also had a number of adventures Down Under. Read about her trip.

Birds & Bins

Come join ORK, Ogeechee Audubon, and Ford Field and River Club for a birding walk and litter cleanup on September 16. Co-leaders will help locate and identify birds, educate us about the southern part of the Ogeechee watershed while we cleanup the waterways.

Legal Advocacy

One of ORK's roles is to provide expert comments on applications regarding water quality impacts. Recently, ORK has written official responses several applications and proposals. All are available online

Hats are back in stock!

We have restocked our soft twill baseball caps. Support ORK with an embroidered patch displaying the ORK logo. A tuck strap in the back makes it one-size-fits-all.

Words from a volunteer

Kathleen is one of the ORK's Adopt-A-landing volunteers. She shared her thoughts from a recent cleanup where she found less trash than usual, and she was thanked by people using the landing.

Thanks to SouthWings!

Our thanks to John and SouthWings for flying Carly, ORK's Upper Watershed Representative, over some locations receiving "soil amendments." ORK, stakeholders, and residents are concerned about industrial waste being applied to agricultural fields, and its effects on clean water, quality of life, and long-term environmental impacts.
